What this website does with your data — which is very little. Last reviewed 1 September 2026.

The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. The three things that do involve your data are the class timetable, booking, and the newsletter, and each is described below.

What happens when you open a page

Web server

Our host records the usual server log for every request: your IP address, the time, the page, and what browser asked for it. This is how the web works and how the host protects the server. Host: [hosting company and country]. Logs are kept for [retention period — ask your host].

Fonts

The typefaces are stored on this server, not loaded from Google. No request goes to fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com, so no data about you reaches Google when you read this page.

The class timetable

The timetable is loaded live from our own booking system at www.myzen.pt — the same address this page is on — when the homepage opens. That request goes from your browser to a server we run, and it fetches public class information only — class times, teachers, prices and how many places are left. No account or personal data is involved, no cookie is set, and nothing about the request is used to recognise you. The server keeps the usual short request log, as any web server does.

When you book a class

Booking happens at www.myzen.pt, which is ours. You sign in with a link or a six-digit code sent to your email address — there is no password. We store your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your tax number if you want it on an invoice, your bookings and your class passes, because that is what running a studio takes.

Payments are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers; invoices are issued through InvoiceXpress, as Portuguese law requires; the emails about your bookings are sent through Resend. Each of those receives only what it needs to do its part.

You can see everything we hold, export it, or ask us to delete it, from your account or by writing to connect@myzen.pt.

When you join the slow letter

We store the email address you give us, and nothing else. We use it to send you one note a month about the schedule, the season, and something worth sitting with. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and asking us directly works just as well.

When you email us

We keep the correspondence so we can pick up the thread next time. If you would rather we deleted it, say so and we will.

What we never do

• No analytics, no page-view tracking, no heatmaps.
• No advertising pixels and no social media trackers. The Instagram and Google Maps links are ordinary links — nothing is sent anywhere until you click them.
• No cookies and no browser storage of any kind.
• We do not sell or share your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to it altogether. Write to connect@myzen.pt and we will answer within a month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Changes

If we add anything to the site that collects data, this page changes first.
